Greetings from Campo del Oso. I will be your guide here. We will journey
together through the vista of the internet in the examination of the great
outdoors,learning and exploring in knowledge for the preparation of doing and
being in 'outside' practice. It is my hope, genuinely, that each time we depart
from one another's company you will be richer in understanding and better
able to enjoy your experiences in Nature. Whether that experience is a
day-trip of wildlife photography close to hearth and home or an expedition of
extreme kayaking in the wilds of Alaska. Whether for the use of pleasure in
leisurely hunting and fishing on a weekend outing - or the dire crises of
survival in an emergency stranding during the icy winter. It is my privilege to
share with you all I know of the wilderness and its fieldcraft, of equipment and
its usage, which I have garnered from a lifetime of hiking, camping, and
trekking across every type of terrain and physical geography in both the U.S.
